I love this one. Why? Because the reference for the Zeus painting was my darling man. I love painting him. First it was Cronus, although the likeness was fairly 'loose', but for Zeus I decided to try for a closer resemblance and I succeeded.
I'll be keeping this painting for myself when the time comes and I can offer the originals for sale. This one is mine. My man, my love, and now, my God. *laughing* You should see the look of pride he's been walking around with on his face. I suspect the next time I ask him to pose for me he won't squirm as much.
Anyways ...
Medium: Acrylics and coloured pencil Size: 8.5"x11" Represents: The Father
I love the work on the farthest-off arm...the one not closest to the "camera". And of course, everything is amazing. I really like your take on lightning.
I love the lightings behind and the thoughtful look of all of it. But what I really fancy most is the blue. I guess it is the first time I see a Zeus painting here he is not in golden and white but in a striking blue. If not a close look, one may think of Posideon, god of all Oceans, but the lightings leave no doubt it is the God Father of Gods, in Greek. Well done!

We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
