Artist's Comments

Yet another card artwork completed for the Greek Mythology Oracle deck. She is Aphrodite and for this first of two cards depicting the goddess of love, she represents beauty, desire and sensuality.

The artwork was created using my usual mix of acrylics and coloured pencils. The original size is 11"x14" but I have cropped it to fit the book specs of the publisher.

The photo reference was provided by M J Ranum and the model is one of my favourites, Carly Champagne.

Hey there! I like her very much, I think what I like the most is the fact that it is your style, i is completely you, but yet there is some Boticelli-like sensuality there that screams Venus! and makes it immediately recognizable.
When this dek is finished, are we going to be able to purchase it?
